Warcraft 2 exists at a crossroads for Blizzard. While it was wildly popular and influential in its own right, it wasn't until Starcraft and Diablo II that the company broke out into the online market with a vengeance. Rather than just being a simple continuation of the previous game, though, Warcraft 2 was made to be bigger and better in every possible way. New game mechanics and new strategies gave it the fresh feeling players wanted, and the deepening story only served to pull players more into its complex setting. 16/06/09
