Railroad Tycoon was developed under Sid Meier, but every game afterwards has been developed by the independent developer PopTop (developers of the original Tropico). Since PoTop's merger into Firaxis, the original team is back under Sid Meier, but it's arguable whether or not Firaxis will ever exceed the quality of Railroad Tycoon 2 in future endeavors. It holds an almost legendary status among business sim palyers, and for good reason: it's amazing. 18/01/10
