Max Payne was the second game from Finland-based studio Remedy Entertainment. Their first game, Death Rally, did not create much of a stir when it was released, and five years went by without any game from the studio. However, in 2001, they finally released Max Payne and were instantly propelled into the limelight. Received incredibly well, both commercially and critically, it went on to popularize bullet time, leading to the glut of games (Red Dead Redemption, FEAR) that use it today. 02/06/10
