Master of Magic was the second game that Simtex developed, and predates the Master of Orion sequel by two years. Taking a lot of the lessons learned from Master of Orion, Simtex expanded upon the research, domestic, and tactical options significantly. Along with these, it added new elements reminiscent of Magic: The Gathering and Civilization. Although initially very buggy, with the 1.31 patch Master of Magic became completely playable, although it does require either a Windows 98 or older operating system or DOSBox in order to function. 06/07/09
