Back when it was released in 2000, Baldur's Gate 2 was a revelation. A continuation of the events depicted in Baldur's Gate (more on that later), it combined higher resolution graphics, more involved and sprawling gameplay, and complex writing that made the world seem all too real. It is one of the finest RPGs ever made, easily surpassing its predecessor and being on par with other classics such as Planescape: Torment or Fallout. 20/07/09
