Why it's on the BigAss 25 list: Valve's zombie shooter was an instant hit when it was released in October 2008 but that certainly isn't the reason we are adding it to our BigAss 25 list. The reason is Valve's plans for continued support for the game which will be free for PC owners.
Valve already has plans for a spring update that adds a new gameplay type, Survival, along with putting in the previously released Versus mode in the two campaigns that previously lacked Verus support. We suspect Valve has even more up their Left 4 Dead sleeve which is why it's a BigAss 25 game. 05/03/09
