Description: GameTap is an interesting service, as it acts almost like the Netflix of games. By paying a simple subscription fee every month, you have access to a large library of retro and independent games. Some require a download, while others can be played on your browser. In general, console games can be played in browser, PC games must be downloaded. Buy-to-own simply gives you an EXE and related install keys.

Pros: Great for retro gamers or those looking for more games for their cash. Wide selection of games under every genre. Buy-to-own relatively painless.
Cons: Buy-to-own does not have a good line-up. Changing download locations is a hassle, as it requires changing the registry. Changes design on a regular basis, which can be confusing. 27/11/09
