id Software's long awaited new and original game won't likely be released in 2009 but we will certainly learn more about their plans for the post-apocalypse themed shooter. We do know that the game will feature more outdoor environments and vehicles than other id games in the past and that it will be the first to use their next-gen graphics engine, id Tech 5. Electronic Arts is the publisher.
