AI War forgoes all of that fancy competition to create a game that is unique in its strategic offering. Mixing 4X and real-time strategy is no easy task, and doing so in a purely cooperative game is even harder. However, AI War is easily the best cooperative game this year, indie or otherwise. Forget Modern Warfare 2. Nothing is quite as satisfying as finally eliminating those AI you have been working with seven of your friends against for the past few hours. 24/12/09
