If you own a gaming PC, chances are you have a separate video card handling the graphics. That's a good thing. However, the PC hardware industry has tried to push the cheaper motherboard-based graphics chips to the general public. The result is that many of them try to play the latest PC games and can't play them...at all.
We know that this is all a business but if PC makers tried to push PCs that have even cheap but separate graphics cards on their rigs we predict that gaming usage will go up. As the PC game sales industry goes up, so will sales of PC hardware. Going for the bottom line every time is a short term solution. The game industry needs to work together with the PC makers to create rigs that can play most any PC game out there. It might make PCs a little more expensive but it will be a huge boost in the long term. 06/02/09
