Five reasons to love Fallout 3

It's Fallout!
This goes without saying for any fans of the previous Fallout games, but we still have to say it for newcomers: While there are nay-sayers who will denounce the game for it's chosen style of combat -- which we'll get to later -- we think the change is for the betterment of the series. The reason for our opinion on this is two-fold. Developers like Bethesda are most passionate about a title when it's something they really want to do and such is the case for Fallout 3 in its current form. Secondly, we've had three games with the classic isometric style combat and it was about time for something new. People are always clamoring for innovation and change and that is exactly what Bethesda is trying to accomplish.
The world of Fallout is also fully intact in terms of aesthetic and spirit. If you had any doubts of that fact, the E3 2008 trailer for the game should put any uncertainties to rest. After you've seen the Bloody Mess perk in action -- the giblets flying this way and that -- you should feel a certain calm wash over as you nod your head in approval. This is most certainly Fallout.
In the end, what we should all be able to agree upon is that Bethesda seems to have really embraced the dirty world, gory lore and humorous double-point-and-wink of Fallout.

This is not Fallout. Fallout is completely turn-based combat. Combat that demands strategy of the highest kind, not some re-skinned futuristic Oblivion bullshit with some tacked on "bullet-time" aiming mechanism. They may call this game Fallout 3, but as far as I'm concerned the Fallout series ended with Brotherhood of Steel. Bethesda doesn't give a shit about the history of the series, and the screenshots and gameplay style back up those claims.
