Social networking continues to be all the rage for internet applications and now a new set of tools has been announced that centers on PC gaming. It's called Evolve and is now taking sign ups to beta test the tools on its web site.

Evolve has a number of features including matchmaking, news feeds for you and your friends, a chat client that can be access by other chat networks, its own web brower and more. Rock Paper Shotgun has an interview with the founders of Evolve where they talk about their current and future plans including the possibility of adding some kind of wagering features.
