Brink finally gets firm May 17 release date

It's been a long time in coming but today publisher Bethesda Softworks finally announced that the long awaited sci-fi first person shooter Brink will be released on May 17 in the US. The game from developer Splash Damage will be out in Europe a few days later on May 20. The game was first announced in May 2009 but its release date has been pushed back a couple of time; it was first announced for spring 2010 and then fall 2010 before today's final specific release date.

Brink will be joining an already unusually crowded May time period for major new PC game releases; currently titles like F.E.A.R. 3, Duke Nukem Forever, Red Faction Armageddon and The Witcher 2. are all scheduled to come out that month.
