This Week In PC Games: January 10-16

This week the PC gaming buying year gets its first major AAA title with a long awaited MMO title. We also get a RPG-RTS expansion pack that been years in the making (no lie) and an European imported action-adventure game.

DC Universe Online - Developer Sony Online, which already has a ton of MMO game experience, launched its latest subscription-based game. This time the setting is the vast DC Comics super hero setting where players will be able to create their own original super heroes and super villains and ally themselves with legendary characters like Superman, Batman, Joker and Lex Luthor.
Spellforce 2: Faith In Destiny - Publisher JoWood is scheduled to release its second expansion pack to its 2006 fantasy RTS-RPG game this week (barring the company's own financial issues of course). The expansion was first announced two years ago and features a new single player campaign with new new units, maps and creatures along with a graphical upgrade.

Venetica - Released over a year ago in Europe, this fantasy action-RPG game from developer Deck13 finally makes its way to US shores. It has you controlling the character of Scarlett who just happens to be the the daughter of Death himself. Bummer.
