Two things spring out when checking these system requirements. One is that this game will take up about 20 GB of hard drive space. The other is that for the recommended setting the game is asking for Intel' just released second generation of Core processors to get to the high end. That's the first time we have seen a new technology show up so fast in a PC game's system specs.
Minimum Specs
* 2 GHz Intel Dual Core processor / 2.6 GHz Intel Single Core processor , or AMD equivalent (with SSE2)
* 1GB RAM (XP), 2GB RAM (Vista / Windows7)
* 256 MB DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics card (shader model 3)
* 1024×768 minimum screen resolution
* 20GB free hard disk space
Recommended Specs
* 2nd Generation Intel Core™i5 processor (or greater), or AMD equivalent
* 2GB RAM (XP), 4GB RAM (Vista / Windows7)
* AMD Radeon HD 5000 and 6000 series graphics cards or equivalent DirectX 11 compatible graphics card
* 1280×1024 minimum screen resolution
* 20GB free hard disk space

That's called bullshit exaggerating.
It's what happens when a developer gets lazy, and just puts down the highest thing on the market when they write the box.
I have seen developers recommend CPU's which are way. way beyond what the game would run optimally on. Like, the game running absolutely perfect on a Pentium 4 (example) and the developer recommending a dual-core CPU simply because they don't want to actually test it.
If you browse thru Steam's games, you will occasionally see a listing say "As fast a CPU as you can get", literally.Posted at 2:55AM on Jan 7th 2011 by Drakkenfyre
