Need For Speed Hot Pursuit PC won't get newly announced DLC

Need For Speed Hot Pursuit was developed by Criterion Games for Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC. However it's looking like PC owners of the recent racing game may not get the chance to partake in the game's upcoming DLC content. Today publisher Electronic Arts announced that the first DLC pack, which will feature three new cars along with a number of new race events, will be release for the Xbox 360 and PS3 on December 21.

However Big Download has confirmed with an EA PR rep that the DLC pack won't be released for the PC port. So does that mean that PC owners of the game won't be getting any of the DLC releases? The same EA PR rep told us, "We don't have any more info about DLC at this time."

They pulled the same crap with Burnout Paradise on the PC. I'd intended to buy this in the near future, but that won't be happening now.Posted at 4:38PM on Dec 10th 2010 by Kevin

I bought the PC version because Criterion had supported the PC with all their Post-Release content for Burnout Paradise so this is pretty disappointing to a fan like myself.

I can overlook missing a few cars and races in a bit of slightly overpriced DLC, but I'm hoping this is not indicative of future second-class status for the PC version. Posted at 4:38PM on Dec 10th 2010 by Nick V

I barely ever buy games full price, I just feel games are often too high priced.

Anyway, Ill be waiting for a price drop anyway but to the guys here that want to boycott, im just saying, they very often say this stuff but that does not mean it wont actually come out for hte PC eventually, hey, who knows, might be free for the PC in the end :)Posted at 1:13PM on Dec 12th 2010 by Hans
