Sometimes the mouse and keyboard method doesn't quite work for certain PC games. Racing titles, fighting games and some arcade titles play better if you use a gamepad. This week PC peripheral maker Logitech announced a new line of gamepads specifically made for the PC.
The basic F310 model, shown above, seems to merge elements of the PS3 and Xbox 360 controllers in its basic design. It also has a floating D-pad feature for better accuracy. If your particular PC game doesn't support gamepads, special software is included that will allow the gamepad to mimic a keyboard-mouse combo. It's now on sale for $24.99.
Two more models were also introduced. The F510 adds rumble effects and rubber grips for longer gameplay for $34.99. Finally the F710 gamepad has both rumble support and 2.4 Ghz wireless features for $49.99.

I already purchased their Logitech Rumble 2 controller (USB version) I do like the colors of each of the newly made and released controllers that are listed in this story. I guess I should have waited to see if there were better controllers than the one I ordered on Friday (aforementioned controller in this reply). Posted at 1:56PM on Sep 5th 2010 by Donfintree

uhm .... yeah, you guys really should call logitech on this, but the only difference between these and the previous line of pads is that they stuck 360 face buttons on them.
I'm looking at an identical model to the one you have shown right now. only difference is that the buttons on mine are labeled from 1 to 12 while this "NEW" version has A, B, X, Y, start, select, etc ... Posted at 1:36PM on Sep 5th 2010 by Fakeassname
