Call of Duty Black Ops getting AI bots, in-game currency and more

Developer Treyarch has been keeping the multiplayer details of its upcoming shooter Call of Duty Black Ops to themselves but that changed last night at a press event for the Activision published game. Our sister site Joystiq has the details of what was revealed at the event. In short, Call of Duty Black Ops will include AI bots in a separate mode called Combat Training that will let players try out multiplayer modes offline.

Other new features include in-game currency called CP that are earned in the game (no, the game isn't going the microtransation route) that will let players access advanced weapons and items without having to grind though experience points in multiplayer. You can even gamble to boost or lose your currency in what are being called Wager Mode matches. Finally the game will include a way to record, play back and share videos of multiplayer matches. We suspect even more on multiplayer will be revealed before Black Ops is due out on November 9.
