Cities In Motion announced

Publisher Paradox Interactive made a number of new game announcements today as part of its Gamescom visit and one of them was for Cities In Motion, a city sim-style game but with the emphasis on transportation. The game, developed by Colossal Order, lets players evolve a city and its transportation needs from 1920 to 2020.

Players take on the role of an owner of a transport company who tried to create a public transportation system for his or her city. Buses, trains, subways and more can be constructed and the goal is to make as much money as possible while also serving the cities needs. The game has a 12 mission campaign more or a free form sandbox mode. You can either construct your own cities with over 100 buildings or use one of the four that have been made already and are based on real cities like Vienna, Helsinki, Berlin, and Amsterdam. Cities in Motion is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.
