It's not exactly a shock but Blizzard Entertainment has indeed announced that it will release a Collector's Edition of World of Warcraft Cataclysm. The third commercial expansion pack for the mega-popular fantasy MMO will be priced at $79.99 when its released.

Folks who spend the extra $40 for the Collector's Edition will get more than just the expansion pack of course. It also comes with a 176 page art book, a behind-the-scenes DVD, the game's soundtrack on CD (with bonus tracks) a special mouse pad, and a 60 card starter deck for the official World of Warcraft trading card game with two exclusive Hero Cards found only in the special edition. There's also a new exclusive in-game pet, Lil' Deathwing, who is a much smaller version of the expansion pack's main antagonist. World of Warcraft Cataclysm does not yet have a release date but is expected to be out by the end of 2010.
