Natural Selection 2 gets first alpha patch for pre-orders

Last Monday, indie developer Unknown Worlds Entertainment released its playable alpha build of its upcoming first person shooter-RTS game Natural Selection 2 to people who pre-ordered the Special Edition of the game (the Special Edition versions is no longer for sale). Now the developer has issued its first patch for the alpha build via Steam.

The patch has quite a number of technical and gameplay bug fixes along with a few minor additions such as adding a welding effect to MAC and adding some new new marine commander icon artwork. The standard edition of the game is still available for pre-orders for $34.95 although people who pay for the game now will not get access to the alpha builds.
