StarCraft II: The top 10 excuses to stay home and play on Tuesday

In just a few hours, the Eastern time zone in the US will become the first in the country to start playing StarCraft II. Of course lots of people are going to be conveniently ill or perhaps take a few vacation days to play Blizzard's next sci-fi RTS game. But what if you don't have that kind of excuse ready for your boss on Tuesday morning?

We doubt that The Late Show with David Letterman will have a Top 10 list tonight relating to StarCraft II (although they really should) so we have whipped up our own. So from the home office on board the Hyperion here are the top 10 excuses for staying home Tuesday to play StarCraft II after the jump:
10. "I need to learn all the ways to fight off a Zerg rush so I can deal with it when the real zombie apocalypse happens".
9. "Playing StarCraft II at home keeps me out of the car which cuts down on greenhouse gases."
8. "I need to make that 'Got fired from work because I played StarCraft II" achievement in Battle.net"
7. "All the sexy ladies are doing it . . . you know any, by the way?"
6. "Playing an RTS game encourages teamwork, communication and . . . oh, what the heck; you aren't buying that are you?"
5. "Playing the game keeps me from turning into another Lindsey Lohan."
4. " Two words: Protoss porn."
3. "It's the game that lets you play with your buddies until they accuse you of cheating . . . at which point you can nuke them."
2. "President Obama said, 'Yes we can'. That is what he meant right?"

And the number one excuse for staying home Tuesday to play StarCraft II:

1. "It's either me at home playing StarCraft II or me at home playing World of Warcraft; your choice."
