It's been three years, and Valve has finally announced the sequel to their bestselling game Portal. Portal 2 is not due out for a whole year (most likely longer, given Valve's predilections), but that doesn't keep us from speculating and drooling about the trailer shown at this year's E3. It's chock-full of information, which gives us the perfect excuse to delve into a bit of Portal's influences and past. And if anything is evident by this trailer, it's that Portal 2 has a significant amount of new material to keep even the most stoic player interested.
