E3 2010: ESA release annual games survey and report

As they do during every E3 show, the event's organizers the Entertainment Software Association releases their annual report on the state of the game industry. They have done so again for E3 2010. According to their survey, the average game player is 34 years old while the average age of the person who buys games is 40 years old. Also 40 percent of all gamers are now female.

Other results in the survey states that 62 percent of gamers play with another gamer in person at least one hour a week. 48 percent of parents say they play games with their kids at least once a week. You can check out the full report (via PDA file) at the ESA web site.
