Developer BioWare's recent RPG games like Dragon Age Origins and Mass Effect 2 have not supported multiplayer modes (although they have had extensive online downloadable content). That could be changing soon, however, as a recent LinkedIn post (since edited) shows that BioWare could be looking to add multiplayer support for the Mass Effect franchise.
Cinema Blend has posted up an image of the LinkedIn profile of Electronic Arts recruiter Jeff Goldstein saying the publisher is looking for a "Multiplayer Programmer (Mass Effect Franchise)" for BioWare's Montreal office. While the LinkedIn profile has since been edited it seems pretty clear that BioWare is looking to put in multiplayer feature in the next game in the series.

Well I mean it's not really a surprise. EA/Bioware did want to turn this into a giant franchise, so it's obvious that a game taking place in the ME universe would eventually have some sort of multi-player.Posted at 1:18AM on May 31st 2010 by that guy rom
