Star Trek Online has been, well, officially online for less than four months and since then the MMO game has already added lots of new content to the space-planet combo title. New missions, fleet actions, expanded content for the Klingon faction and lots more has been introduced into the game.

But Cryptic isn't done yet. In a new "State of the Game" post on the Star Trek Online web site, the developer gives hints at what is to come in the game. For the immediate future look for a new accolade system to track your game achievements to be put in place along with a new squad system that lets you team up with other players that are not at your level of play.

Further down the road is the game's Season 2 where a new diplomacy corps for the Federation faction will be launched for you non-combat types. Look for new mini-games (play Dabo at Quark's Bar.Cool) more Klingon content, new ship interiors and more. Even further in the future, Cryptic plans to add another faction to be added and Cryptic is also thinking about added user generated content.
