Next week will see one less game (or in this case game expansion) released. CCP Games just sent over word that Tyrannis, the latest free expansion to their hit space-based MMO EVE Online, won't be out on May 18 as scheduled. Instead it's been pushed back one week to May 26.
In addition the game's market seeding of Planetary Command Centers has been pushed back even further and will now be available on June 8. In a development blog, the game's official web site states that the expansion's biggest new feature, where players will be able to interact and mine directly from planets, had some "scalability issues". The issues "led to code refactoring that then needed further testing." Finally the EVE Gate social networking set-up has also had its launch pushed back to May 26.
