EA: Dead Space 2 officially re-confirmed for PC

It was on, it was off and now it seems it is on again. We are talking about Dead Space 2, the sequel to the 2008 sci-fi survival horror game from Electronic Arts. When it was first announced last December the game was confirmed for the PC platform but a couple of months later EA changed their tune, saying that a PC port was merely under consideration.

Now an EA PR rep has confirmed to Big Download that Dead Space 2 is indeed under development for the PC in addition to the previously anounced Xbox 360 and PS3 console platforms. EA put the PC port back in its newly revised game release schedule earlier today. The title, developed by Visceral Games, is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.
