The ever growing reach of Facebook is now extending to StarCraft II and Blizzard's Battle.net 2.0 service. Today Blizzard announced they will intergrate the massive social networking web site into the new version of Battle.net. It will allow players of the upcoming sci-fi RTS sequel to add their friends on Facebook in their Battle.net 2.0 friends list.
This new feature will be added in an upcoming patch in the currently running StarCraft II beta test before the full game is released on July 27. Today's press release hints that other Facebook features in Battle.net and StarCraft II will be announced in the future. Our hope? There will be a "like" feature if you fend off a Zerg rush.

This is unfortunate. Facebook is rapidly showing itself to be an evil company (chaotic neutral at best).
I will never link anything with Facebook ever, even if it does make friends lists easier.Posted at 11:18AM on May 5th 2010 by Kevin
