For several months the development team at S2 Games have technically held a "closed beta" test for their upcoming Defense of the Ancients-inspired multiplayer action-RTS game Heroes of Newerth. While it was a closed beta they allowed quite a few testers to check the game out. If you still didn't get an invite, don't worry. Everyone will soon get a chance to check the game out.

S2 Games have announced on their Facebook page that the open beta for Heroes of Newerth will finally launch on Wednesday, March 31. This seems to be in line with what the developers were saying last month. The final commercial release of the game should take place in April for $30.
