How committed is Stardock CEO Brad Wardell to mod making? He's so committed that he's actually going to "kind of take a sabbatical" from his duties after the release of Stardock's next internal game Elemental: War of Magic. The reason? He's going to become a modder himself for Elemental.

While we doubt that Wardell will be leaving the day-to-day operations of Stardock completely, the fact that he's going to take considerable time to create mods for the game shows his deep interest in mod making for the turn-based strategy game and its community of creators. He states, "I really would like to see modding of PC games to become more mainstream as they are one of the big advantages they have over consoles." And it won't just be Elemental. Wardell says he will be working to create mods for Civilization V when that 2K Games title is released later this fall.
