Battlefield Bad Company 2 sells 2.3 million units; complaints over PC patch

March isn't even over but Electronic Arts is already crowing about the sales success of its latest game Battlefield Bad Company 2. Released on March 2 for the PC and other platforms, EA said today that the first person shooter from developer Digital Illusions has now sold 2.3 million total copies worldwide since its release. That makes the game the biggest selling game title released in March by EA.

While the game is certainly a sales success, some players of the PC version have not been happy with the post-release support. The UK PC Gamer site is complaining that developer DICE have released patches for the PC port that introduce new problems. They state, "To ship more copies of the game than you can support is dishonest, and gamers end up hating you for it."
