The development team at Turtle Rock Studios were the ones that came up with the concept behind the original Left 4 Dead game. The game was so good, Valve decided to purchase Turtle Rock. The studio was renamed Valve South and basically Left 4 Dead was made into a retroactive Valve title. However last year it was revealed that the studio had reverted back to its more independent roots as Turtle Rock Studios with its original founder Michael Booth still at the helm.

Now the company's official web site has relaunched with a new look. While it's still a game development studio, they have just released a non-gaming iPhone app called Garage Buddy. There's no word on what their next game project will be.
