Next Battlefield Bad Company 2 PC patch delayed
In the meantime the game's official blog site has posted up a a general Q&A post-launch update. The big issue is the multiplayer servers which, if you have been following along on this site, have been causing lots of players to not be able to sign on. The post states, "This is an ongoing process but we currently have enough capacity to handle all BFBC2 connections."

i guess you're right, but coming from Operation Flashpoint:
Dragon Failure and Modern Warfiasco2,
Bad Company 2 rocks !!! in the end that's what counts.
It's only out a couple of weeks and it seems they do what they
can to fix what needs fixing, and already you can have really really intense games.Posted at 5:03AM on Mar 16th 2010 by Jelle
Yes, Battlefield Bad Company 2 I have issues with. The game is ABSOLUTELY fun, but when I go to play multiplayer, it just turns horrible. The loading screen is atleast 2-3 minutes, VSYNC doesn't work probably. I have all specs for recommended settings, but I still have major lag. I can play in a few servers, but I still lag in close combat. Also, I do get kicked randomly, as like everyone. The game also randomly shuts down on me.Posted at 11:05PM on Mar 16th 2010 by Justin D
The game is fun when you play with friends and can get into a server. But I can't believe they don't have a fix for VOIP in this patch.Posted at 11:36AM on Mar 16th 2010 by bamboo
I have yet to be able to connect to a multiplayer game. Luckily the singleplayer is fun (and more than occasionally funny), but that is only going to go so far......Posted at 8:22AM on Mar 17th 2010 by JB
YUP! Server issues continue..
As of today, 3/25/10 I have not been able to get a single server
to pop-up. Doesnt matter what filters you set, nothing.
I got a hold of a an EA phone number and called to see what was going on because on the official BFBC2 website it says all servers are up and running.
The first thing you hear is an automated message that says BC2 is having server issues and that techs are working on it. No information on when they'll be back up. They should slap a big oll sticker on the retail box that says, "Enjoy our single-player version because you're SOL if you want to play multi-player".Posted at 3:51PM on Mar 25th 2010 by Matt
i don't understand what is wrong with the ping of this game. i join a multi-player server with a ping of 15, then as soon as i get into the game it jumps up to about 300. this is maddening, because i immediately quit if i have a ping over 200, as it drags down the whole server with everyone in it playing.
single player is amazing. its funny, and it has a few intense moments (set on the highest difficulty)
i have a HP dv6 1259dx laptop, logitech 3D pro joystick, and a razer deathadder gaming mouse.
i decided that i would be building my own desktop with the best hardware just for gaming. as my laptop doesnt have the graphics card i want. i plan to get a nice ATI graphics, and dual RAID hard drives. this will give me a great advantage in most online FPS games.
if your not happy with how your system plays bad company, try battlefield 2. it is very fun, and has been being updated for about 10 years. make sure to download and install the 1.50 patch for it, which makes it not need a disk and also gives you all the expansion packs (excluding special forces)
feel free to email me with any questions about games, as i am quite experienced in many of them, and if i dont know the answer to a question, i have sources that allow me to get the answers. rocker22dallas@gmail.comPosted at 10:00AM on Apr 5th 2010 by Jason Hurd

Bought the game on release day, played 15 mins online, havent been able to get on since. F**K YOU EA, its NOT my pc or laptop cos it worked fine before. I have left dosens of nice replies on bc2 site but you never do shit about any of it. "were working on it" My ass are you!Posted at 10:18AM on Apr 24th 2010 by Hazz

Yeah, They have enough capacity to handle all the players only because 50% of the players can't get online to play multi player. I love this game, but it feels like it's still in early beta status with regards to the interface and menu setup. VSNYC doesn't work properly, server browsers don't work properly, ping times are much much higher than what they say they are, and a number of other small issues.
