This is going to sound like a broken record but here we go anyway. Developer Digital Illusions will once again be taking down the multiplayer servers for their recent first person shooter Battlefield Bad Company 2. The reason is at least a good one. They will be putting in some new server machines to deal with the online traffic that has been much larger than first anticipated for the game.

The downtime will begin tomorrow morning at 3 am Eastern time. Yet another downtime period will happen Saturday morning at the same time. Digital Illusions promises, "Once the maintenance is complete you will experience an improvement to your online experience." We certainly hope so.
