Ubisoft blames DRM server downtime to server attack
In a statement sent to VG247.com Ubisoft stated that because of the attack, " . . . service was limited from 2:30PM to 9PM Paris time. 95 [percent] of players were not affected, but a small group of players attempting to open a game session did receive denial of service errors. All player with an open session during the attack were not affected." That 95 percent claims doesn't quite jibe with the tons of people complaining about their issues with the DRM in the Silent Hunter 5 and Assassin's Creed 2 forums.

Bullshit from start to finish.Posted at 10:29AM on Mar 8th 2010 by Sam
Does it matter why the servers were down? The only thing that is important is that legitimate paying CUSTOMERS were denied the ability to use their purchase. Simply and utterly unacceptable!

First we have to wait for it on PC for several month's and how do they repay us ? To bad i didn't know about this before i bought the game.. Ubisoft is a joke, this is all a comedy, fighting piracy and those who are loyal customers get to pay for it! Good job backstabbing us Donks.Posted at 10:46AM on Mar 8th 2010 by Henrik

How is that possible? Isnt access to these servers a requirement to play those games. I fail to understand how 95% could still play their game. This DRM is such an obvious bad idea, I think Ubisoft does their customers a disservice by using it.Posted at 10:18AM on Mar 8th 2010 by Arnie
