Yet another delay announced for Mafia II's release

As part of Take Two Interactive's press release today announcing its latest financial numbers, the publisher revealed that the release date for the long-in-development open world action game Mafia II is getting pushed back yet again. While the 2K Czech-developed title was supposed to be out in the first half of 2010, Take Two has now revealed the game will be released during the company's fiscal fourth quarter which starts on August 1.

Take Two actually has a number of games now scheduled for its fiscal fourth quarter but warned today that at least one of them could be pushed out of that time period. Besides Mafia II, that list includes the PC titles Max Payne 3 and the just announced Civilization V.
