There have been some interesting promotions for give players to get in-game rewards for online games but Riot Games has one that is definitely unique. Their free-to-play action-RTS game League of Legends is doing very well and they are hiring for quite a number of new positions on their team.

But here's the kicker: Any League of Legends player can refers someone to Riot Games for any of their currently open positions. If that person gets hired, the League of Legends gamer who handled the referral will get 100,000 Riot Points in the game 90 days after the person is hired. One wonders if Blizzard would do the same for World of Warcraft players.
