Two new publishers join Entertainment Software Association

The Entertainment Software Association continues to expand its membership to smaller game publishers. This week the US video game trade group announced that Deep Silver and Slang have joined the organization. Deep Silver has been publishing games such as the recent RPG title Risen since 2002. Slang is a new console-based publisher who won't release its first game until summer 2010.

The ESA has been busy in the last year or so with more companies joining their ranks after a large number of major publishers, including Activision, Vivendi Games (later merged as Activision Blizzard), NCsoft, id Software and LucasArts decided to leave the organization in 2008. Activision and LucasArts are still planning to attend E3 this year, which is run by the ESA.
