One of the most iconic and toughest foes in the Star Trek universe are The Borg, an advanced cybernetic race from the Delta Quadrent bent on assimilating all life in the universe. Although humanity has successfully thwarted the Borg's plans in the past, it's now locked in an ongoing war with the Klingon Empire. So, Star Trek Online players caught in Borg space may need to make unlikely allies to survive. The big question is whether or not players will be able to find a way to infiltrate the Borg Collective.

"Expect a lot of contact with the Borg in Star Trek Online. An entire 'season' of Episode Missions is dedicated to combating the Borg and managing their influence on the universe. In addition to squaring off against the hive mind, you'll also have to contend with other factions that attempt to utilize or work with Borg technology to achieve their own ends. You may even find yourself making friends with enemies to work against the great threat the Borg pose."
