RedLynx does well with digital download gaming in 2009

As we have talked about constantly over the past couple of years, the PC game industry is moving from a retail business model to one that is centered around digital downloads. One company that believes in that model is Finland-based game developer/publiher RedLynx who reported today that they have sold 1.5 million copies of their games via downloads in 2009.

That includes the PC arcade driving game Monster Trucks Nitro for the PC and Mac platforms along with other games for Xbox Live Arcade and the iPhone. RedLynx plans to release eight to 10 games in 2010 but there's no word yet on how many of those titles will be for the PC.
