Battlefield today is synonymous with large-scale first-person shooter action. While it started off as a World War 2 game, it rapidly bred new entries thanks to its popularity, including the still highly regarded and heavily played Battlefield 2. However, the last entry of the series, Battlefield: Bad Company, was never released on PC. DICE and EA aim to correct this problem with the sequel, so now comes Battlefield: Bad Company 2 straight to the PC as it should. Given that it's what some consider to be the proper sequel to Battlefield 2, Bad Company 2 has a considerable legacy to live up to. After all, Battlefield 2 was a finely tuned masterpiece of a multiplayer shooter. Maybe it's time we took a closer look at some of the history behind Battlefield, and just a little bit of the new goodies for Bad Company 2.
