The same day Electronic Arts launched the multiplayer beta test for Battlefield Bad Company 2, the publisher is also launching the open beta for their upcoming RTS game Command and Conquer 4. The company is working with the Gamespot web site to issue beta keys and it appears that everyone who signs onto a free Gamespot account will gain access to the beta test.

There's still no word yet on what the beta of C&C 4 will contain but it is scheduled to launch at noon Eastern time today. The full game, which could be the last C&C game distributed via retail stores, will ship to stores on March 16.
