Gearbox Software's hit first person shooter game Borderlands has already spawned two downloadable commercial expansions in its short shelf life. Apparently the expansions were successful enough that a third is planned for release in the near future.

According to a post from a Gearbox team member on the game's official message boards, the third expansion will be "the biggest DLC we have made." Details are still scarce but one thing that's been added in the expansion is the ability for players to go beyond the current level cap. So will it be an all new mission or will it be a new gameplay mode? We won't have long to speculate..
