The launch of Star Trek Online is beginning to break free from the normal MMO genre audience. Naturally the fact that one of the most well known sci-fi franchises of all time is the based for the game will bring more mainstream attention than, say, Aion. Now comes word that the Del Taco fast food franchise will be launching a movie-style promotion for the game.

Del Taco will offer four collectible Star Trek Online cups that will also have codes that can be redeemed at the game's official web site for two free days of online game time when the game launches. If you get all four codes you get 10 free days of game time (that means two extra days for those doing the math). You will also gain access to a unique Type-8 Shuttlecraft in the game if you decide to purchase the full version. The shuttle is kind of the game's version of an in-game pet in that it follows your main starship around. The codes also give players access to the current open beta test.
