Star Wars games have had a wide range of quality, from the excellent Dark Forces series to the terrible Force Commander game. However, one game above all others is considered the epitome of the Star Wars game. The game is Knights of the Old Republic, developed by those RPG masterminds at BioWare. The public took notice, and after the disaster that Star Wars Galaxies has become following the NGE, they are clamoring for another MMO that returns to the roots of Star Wars in a fun and interesting world. Enter Star Wars: The Old Republic. BioWare's first MMO (but not their first multiplayer offering), it looks to break outside of the standard of complex single-player role-playing games that BioWare has built a name for itself with. Naturally, it's time to take a finer look at the game and see if it can follow the thematic and gameplay heritage of its excellent predecessors.
