It looks like things have moved faster than first thought for the release of the original PC
Aliens Vs Predator. The game from developer
Rebellion, now known as
Aliens Vs Predator Classic 2000, is now available via Steam for a mere $4.99. This port contains both the original version of the game (released in 1999) plus content from the Gold version that was released in 2000.
This version also includes music from the game's official soundtrack and has been ported to use the Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. Multiplayer support is not yet available but as we reported earlier Rebellion plans to add multiplayer support via a free patch later.
So has the game been updated with compatibility for Windows 7 and Vista? I have seen a lot of older games on Steam that have had nothing done to them to allow them to work on newer operating systems.
Also, I assume this isn't rebuild like Serious Sam HD was correct? Same graphics as the orginal?Posted at 2:27PM on Jan 15th 2010 by Owl
