Modern Warfare 2 nominated for Writer's Guild of America award
Other nominees this year for the award include another Activision published game X-Men Origins Wolverine (written by comic book and TV writer Marc Guggenheim) and Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II. The Writer's Guild said the award had over double the number of submissions for this year's award compared to last year.

That is a fucking joke, it had one of the worst stories ever. The TF 141 missions made no sense at all. Not to mention the American campaign consisted mainly of "Ramirez! Do _____" and "I'm Oscar Mike!"Posted at 8:56PM on Jan 14th 2010 by Vault Boy
Seriously. The story in that game was ridiculously bad. It was basically "Hmm, what can we do for shock value? Oh, I know, a full scale Russian invasion of the US." "Hmm, how can we get that to happen?" "Who cares? Some terrorist attack in an airport where an internationally-known, foreign, unmasked terrorist is working with an undercover CIA agent that he betrays after mowing down 100 people with gunfire."
All shock value. Nothing actually clever. Oh and how convenient that whats-his-face is the guy you have to rescue in the gulag? Laaaame.Posted at 4:55PM on Jan 15th 2010 by Eric

If this wins the award then it is another thing that shows the stupidity of many citizens in NAPosted at 8:17PM on Jan 14th 2010 by Alive
