R.U.S.E. delayed but with no firm new release date

Splinter Cell Conviction wasn't the only upcoming Ubisoft game that got a delay in its release today. In their latest financial results, the publisher revealed that R.U.S.E., the upcoming innovative WWII-themed RTS game, will also not make its planned first quarter 2010 release date. Unlike Splinter Cell Conviction, which got a fairly firm new April 2010 release date, Ubisoft only said R.U.S.E. would be released sometime in the publisher's 2010-2011 fiscal year, which begins on April 1.

The game, developed by Eugen Systems, has been holding a closed beta since late November for the PC version. No reason was announced for this release date delay, but you don't need to be a member of the Dallas Cowboys to figure out the title will be taking much longer to come out than originally thought.
