CES 2010: Sony Playstation content coming to PC laptops?
Could you be playing PS3 downloadable games on a laptop soon? That's what Sony seemed to be hinting at during its CES 2010 press conference on Wednesday. Our sister site Engadget reports that Sony wants to extend the reach of its Playstation Network to a host of other devices including laptops.
There are no other details on how this will work out or when it will become available but we suspect that if this does go through the laptop support will be strictly for Sony's Vaio series of laptops. Still, the possibility of playing downloadable PS3 games from a laptop PC is certainly an intriguing one.

maybe there will release a PSone emulator. Sony bought Connectix VGS software. Laptop with intel graphics can handle PSone games but certainly not PS2 or PS3 games.Posted at 11:52AM on Jan 7th 2010 by blackmachina

There are probably some DRM emthods Sony can use to restrict what systems can run this piece of software, without having to wirte an other OS by themselves. And since Sony made Securom, I wouldn't put it pass their ability.
However, it would be better to offer it as widely as possible, and get more profit. It might even help PC gaming, or maybe at least do enough to get MS to stop backstabbing the PC.Posted at 12:35PM on Jan 7th 2010 by Unknown

think about it.....if this thing is true...why would sony make it exclusive to their vaio series of laptops? money is money. also, i dont even see how that is possible unless sony decides to make its own operating system exclusive to vaio. whoever wrote this article is silly, and needs a blumpkin.
